On the occasion of World Children's Day in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), an event organized by the local bar association brought together over 300 children from various communities. Felicitysolar, aligned with its motto “Make life full of hope, make the world better,” was honored to participate in this meaningful event. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the lives of children across Africa, Felicitysolar donated school bags, stationery, and other essential supplies, offering a bright spark of hope for the local children.
Understanding the Energy Challenge in DRC
While the DRC is rich in natural resources, its energy access remains a significant challenge. According to recent reports, only around 22% of the population has stable access to electricity, with urban areas like Kinshasa faring better at 41%. In stark contrast, rural regions have less than 1% access to reliable power. The electricity grid coverage is uneven, and power outages are frequent, making it difficult for many children to study and communities to thrive.

In response to these pressing energy challenges, Felicitysolar presented the off-grid and hybrid solar energy solutions at the event.
