A total of 125 bids totaling 238 MW were submitted. The agency excluded 17 bids from the award process, although it did not disclose the specific reasons. According to the authoritys website, unsuccessful bidders will be informed directly about the reasons their bids were rejected.

All remaining bids received contracts, although the 296 MW tender volume was once again undersubscribed. Nevertheless, the submitted capacity increased significantly compared with the previous round in February, when bids totaled just 177 MW.

The Bundesnetzagentur said awarded prices ranged from 0.084 ($0.096)/kWh to 0.10/kWh. The volume-weighted average award price stood at 0.0972/kWh, remaining just below the maximum permitted level of 0.10/kWh. It was also higher than in the February tender, when the average award price was 0.0956/kWh.

North Rhine-Westphalia secured the largest share of contracts for the new rooftop PV systems, with 21 projects totaling 49 MW. It was followed by Lower Saxony with 36 MW across 19 contracts, Baden-Württemberg with 22 MW from 13 contracts, Bavaria with 21 MW from 11 contracts, and Hesse with 20 MW across 10 contracts.

The next tender round for rooftop PV systems is scheduled for October. The tender volume will again be set at 296 MW.
